2009 Hummer H3t seat heater problem solve
I bought one of these machines secondhand. I don't have any issues about tracking. Suggestions: Remove rollers and check they are perfectly straight and round - roll them on a level surface and it will be obvious if there is a problem. Replace as required. Lightly sand the belt running surface of the roller and degrease. Lubricate the rollers bushes. Make sure the drive roller is at 90 degree to the table edge - it is possible to install at a slight angle - the gap between the roller anf table edge should be even from end to end . Remove nylon guides if fitted. Make sure drive roller is level with the table top at both ends. Turn roller to see if there are any high spots. It Maybe that you might have to replace a roller if you can see eccentric points. Run the drive motor without the belt to see if roller is operating perfectly Now take a look at the Luguna videos on UA-cam for fitting and adjusting the belt. Follow this. You must only take small adjustments say 1/8 or 1/4 of a turn at a time. Tension the side the belt is moving toward and equally slacken the other side. Give it time to track and settle. The above is based on the fact that your belt is in operative order - try also to clean the inner side with White Spirit. I fitted a new belt 2 yrs ago using the above method and only had to adjust once after a month of use.
Good input, my drive roller is a perfect cylinder but my guide roller is a cone shape. But I am not going to replace it if I don’t have to. However i did all of the other steps you posted to finally come to that conclusion.
Thank you, had same story exactlly
I have had the same problem. Put new Maverick belt on and couldn't get it to track toward the motor no matter how much I tried to adjust it. Finally put the tape on the roller this morning and the tracking problem is fixed. Amazing! Thanks for posting this.
HI thank you for your video, my rocker switch, it just clicking the motor, do you happen to have a part number or where you ordered the motor. thank you.
I ordered the motor off of amazon but it was over a year ago so I no longer have the part. It’s not hard to find the one you need though.
Wow this is mind blowing. I got a replacement Maverick belt last week and haven’t been able to get it to stop tracking towards the motor. This is genius! Thanks for this video, this solved my issue. Much appreciated and cheers!
Glad to hear this worked for you.
Just a quick add on tip that might help someone. Same scenario and symptoms as everyone else. Followed all the instructions and got an additional bit of movement but the door would still stop and go back. Finally I was able to see that the white plastic rectangle wire connector to the sensor appeared to be the slightest bit loose. I made sure this was snug and boom a fully functional door. I never would have solved the issue with out this video. One of the most useful videos I’ve ever come across when trying to troubleshoot a project. Thank You!
I have the same sander and same issue. I put a piece of tape down, about 1/8” away from the edge of the belt. Make a small adjustment on either side to see which direction it tracks to. Once the gap between the tape and the belt stays the same after at least 4-6 rotations…I’d say it’s tracking fine for that belt. Variations in the belt manufacturing aren’t always perfect, so there may/May not be bubbling up of the belt in the middle.
I am glad you posted. It is definitely hard to measure if the belt is square or not, i know my roller is not a perfect cylinder but coupled with a slightly imperfect belt makes it challenging. Good to know this is how you get yours to work as well for future belts. Thanks again for posting.
Is the conveyor belt straight
Measured corner to corner on each end, yes it was cut square.
It may be that the belt your using is to wide by an inch or so cause they make lots of different sizes
There’s a break in period when a new belt stretches.
The original belt had the same problem and it was years old. I am assuming that isn’t the problem. Could be though.
Thank you so much! Between your video and the one I linked below I was able to fix my opener. ua-cam.com/video/NxBeX-B5usA/v-deo.htmlsi=hL3XvhZUk3ruQu0h
how did you do the back explain please??
Go blow the snot from your face 😂😂😂
Thank you for this video!!!
Looks cool. My neighbor just gave me a dummy bomb just like that
Clear as mud there buddy,
thats pretty much the world i live in.
Hopefully this will solve the tracking problem on my 16/32 Plus, waiting for a new belt to arrive, then I’ll give it a try. Thanks for posting.
Just tried it, before I used splintered wood, screw etc. Brilliant idea, thank you
I bought some heavy duty velcro to hold the headliner up while I install the rubber gasket.
Shouldn't you put the headliner in before the rubber gasket? If not, how can you squeeze the headliner into that space?
Thanks. I resolved my problem.
Bravo Thank you
Just replaced my awning motor by myself. This is the best way to do it by far!!! Thank you
You are welcome, glad the video helped.
I'm working on a factory headliner and the corners so far are proving to be impossible
After market gasket may be thicker than originals were, lot of reproduction stuff never fits correctly, we all know that.
You’re so smart. You must have inherited your mother’s intelligence
Can you just describe what you did to that sensor? Did you replace it or what?
The rpm sensor and the piece that it reads did not get replaced. It has been a long while since i did this video, but if memory serves me correctly, the part that the sensor reads is what slipped down, i just had to lift it up into place again. I hope this helps you.
Holy sh*t, I've replaced so many parts trying to figure that out. I've got the same pertronix flamethrower with the exact same issue. Thanks for posting!
HAHAHAHAHA thanks
I am “average handy”…went camping, had the awning extended for the week, and when i went to retract it, nothing happened…tested the switch and the power feed, those were fine. Figured out out how to manually retract it so I could travel home. Got home, watched your video, and thought, “I can do that!”. And i did! Removed the old motor so I could order a replacement. When it came in I tackled the job alone. Thank god for your video!!!! New motor was $180; saved perhaps $300 on labor, likely $100 on a motor, and I thank you for clearly laying out this job for me. I am so appreciative of your excellent video.
@@sledgehammer67 thanks for the comment brother. The reason i put this type of video up is to help regular people save money on issues that don’t have much instruction. Good job.
Had same problem until I purchased aftermarket from Amazon and problem solved
The belt that is on it is an aftermarket from amazon. It replaced the original poly belt that had the same problem.
@@friedgizzard my apologies- did not know you had already gone that route.
So you had the fryer place on the wood and it still cracked? Shouldnt the wood avoid heat transfer to the counter top?
I had it on 2-2x6” boards so the fan had room to blow air. I thought 1.5” would be enough space for air to move around and stay cool but apparently not.
So looks like this works like a band saw blade, and the belt climbs to the higher side of the roller.
Yup thats exactly how it should work. However, since the adjustable roller is a cone shape and not a perfect cylinder, it does not adjust the way it is supposed to.
The wife must have pestered him
How do the porcelain guides work? How do you set them?
They are just a c channel that is held by magnet. The belt runs through the channel. There is nothing to set, it is just supposed to help save the edges of the belt from wear i guess.
Thanks for sharing this. I have been fighting the same problem
I have been having the exact same problem. For the first 3 years I owned it it was great now suddenly it’s all over the place. I watched your posting and then adjusted mine as you suggested but without the tape. It tracked perfectly. Adjusting one side out a little more made the difference. Thanks and good luck with yours.
I love it life jacket 😊
I hate it
My read of the manual is you have to tighten the side you are tracking to and at the same time loosen the other side equally. However, I agree that it is a trial and error kind of thing because half the time I’ve done it, the other side gets too loose. I’ve got a new one, and I’ve been fighting with it constantly. I suppose I’ll figure it out at some point.
You should make a new video that would direct us straight to that. I searched and searched. Very helpful.
Nice. I bought one today for 8$ works great 👍🏻 I am from Sweden.
Man you saved me from wasting another day reading smug answers from so called techs online. The button on mine wasn’t pushed on completely. Of course I had to replace the cable pulley that broke from the door going into reverse. Great video and thank you.
Thanks for posting this video. I have tried everything to get the belt to track with no success. I trashed a Maveric belt in the process. I will give your technique a try.
Please let me know if it works. I am pretty sure that the roller being a cone shape is the problem.
I live here!! ❤❤❤
I see this is a older video. Those are 74 shock bumpers. 73 has metal supports. Either way great job. I have a 74 supper beetle. Yellow. I love the blue you chose. You didn't mention much about the auto stick. Had a 69 with the auto stick. Love it. Easy to drive. Did the same with 4" speakers in the rear kick panels. Good video. Thank you Noel
clever! do you know how this repair held up over time?
I posted this 4 years ago and sold the car this past year, when it drove off it was running good.
@@friedgizzard that's awesome
How do you adjust the solenoid? I put a New clutch in but it releases to fast now
Sorry it has been a few days. I sold this car a while back, but i do not believe the solenoid can be adjusted. If you have an autostick, i believe the adjust for what you are asking is on the vacuum canister. There is a threaded rod that goes into the canister that can be adjusted and i think that is what you need.
I have the same sander that I bought used and am having a heck of a time getting a uniform cut with it. I just put a straight edge across the bed and I have a 1/16 dip in the middle of the bed, which has to be why I’m getting crazy uneven sanding. Is your conveyer bed dead flat or am I going crazy?
I had to level the drum when i got the sander but i get even sanding across my pieces. Make sure that your table lift that is used for wide boards with 2 passes is level and not up.
@@friedgizzard I leveled the bed using the process outlined in the manual, and was still getting really wonky cuts. Eventually I took the belt off and measured the flatness of the conveyor bed with a straight edge and it was anything but flat. I went ahead and ordered a new bed from Laguna this weekend.
My man! I took everything apart and order new parts and couldn't figure out why it didn't work. This was the exact reason. Loved the Allen screws pushed everything together boom! Doorworks again. Thank you!
