2009 Hummer H3t seat heater problem solve
So you had the fryer place on the wood and it still cracked? Shouldnt the wood avoid heat transfer to the counter top?
I had it on 2-2x6” boards so the fan had room to blow air. I thought 1.5” would be enough space for air to move around and stay cool but apparently not.
So looks like this works like a band saw blade, and the belt climbs to the higher side of the roller.
Yup thats exactly how it should work. However, since the adjustable roller is a cone shape and not a perfect cylinder, it does not adjust the way it is supposed to.
The wife must have pestered him
How do the porcelain guides work? How do you set them?
They are just a c channel that is held by magnet. The belt runs through the channel. There is nothing to set, it is just supposed to help save the edges of the belt from wear i guess.
Thanks for sharing this. I have been fighting the same problem
I have been having the exact same problem. For the first 3 years I owned it it was great now suddenly it’s all over the place. I watched your posting and then adjusted mine as you suggested but without the tape. It tracked perfectly. Adjusting one side out a little more made the difference. Thanks and good luck with yours.
I love it life jacket 😊
I hate it
My read of the manual is you have to tighten the side you are tracking to and at the same time loosen the other side equally. However, I agree that it is a trial and error kind of thing because half the time I’ve done it, the other side gets too loose. I’ve got a new one, and I’ve been fighting with it constantly. I suppose I’ll figure it out at some point.
You should make a new video that would direct us straight to that. I searched and searched. Very helpful.
Nice. I bought one today for 8$ works great 👍🏻 I am from Sweden.
Man you saved me from wasting another day reading smug answers from so called techs online. The button on mine wasn’t pushed on completely. Of course I had to replace the cable pulley that broke from the door going into reverse. Great video and thank you.
Thanks for posting this video. I have tried everything to get the belt to track with no success. I trashed a Maveric belt in the process. I will give your technique a try.
Please let me know if it works. I am pretty sure that the roller being a cone shape is the problem.
I live here!! ❤❤❤
I see this is a older video. Those are 74 shock bumpers. 73 has metal supports. Either way great job. I have a 74 supper beetle. Yellow. I love the blue you chose. You didn't mention much about the auto stick. Had a 69 with the auto stick. Love it. Easy to drive. Did the same with 4" speakers in the rear kick panels. Good video. Thank you Noel
clever! do you know how this repair held up over time?
I posted this 4 years ago and sold the car this past year, when it drove off it was running good.
@@friedgizzard that's awesome
How do you adjust the solenoid? I put a New clutch in but it releases to fast now
Sorry it has been a few days. I sold this car a while back, but i do not believe the solenoid can be adjusted. If you have an autostick, i believe the adjust for what you are asking is on the vacuum canister. There is a threaded rod that goes into the canister that can be adjusted and i think that is what you need.
I have the same sander that I bought used and am having a heck of a time getting a uniform cut with it. I just put a straight edge across the bed and I have a 1/16 dip in the middle of the bed, which has to be why I’m getting crazy uneven sanding. Is your conveyer bed dead flat or am I going crazy?
I had to level the drum when i got the sander but i get even sanding across my pieces. Make sure that your table lift that is used for wide boards with 2 passes is level and not up.
@@friedgizzard I leveled the bed using the process outlined in the manual, and was still getting really wonky cuts. Eventually I took the belt off and measured the flatness of the conveyor bed with a straight edge and it was anything but flat. I went ahead and ordered a new bed from Laguna this weekend.
My man! I took everything apart and order new parts and couldn't figure out why it didn't work. This was the exact reason. Loved the Allen screws pushed everything together boom! Doorworks again. Thank you!
100 hours of videos. Finally found the answer.
where did you get the new belt?
Maverick Abrasives Drum Sander... www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4KRTJ8F?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
@@friedgizzard Thought that belt looked familiar! I'm in the process of trying to get a Maverick belt tracking on my PowerMax 22/44 from Jet that I bought 20 years ago. Chewed up the first belt within a year, then the next one lasted 18 years with no problems. Third lasted about a week. On my fourth now, using Maverick w/ fingers crossed. Their other belts are really high quality, so I'm optimistic.
Lot more stuff there than when I was there in the mid 80’S
After chewing up 2 new belts from Klingspor, I called Supermax and asked for guidance. They told me it would work right with an OEM belt. So, another $50 and another try. The day started at 8 a.m. and it is now 5:50 pm. Not one other thing has been done today other than trying to make this Performax track. It is a 16/32 from 1988 or 89. It has NEVER tracked correctly. So, I/m at the end of my day and at the end of my wits. Your solution offers a glimmer of hope. I will try it in the morning. Thanks for being so methodical about finding a solution. If it doesn't work, I'll go sit out on the lake on a chunk of ice and wait for Mother Nature to take me. Seriously, though, there are literally thousands of bf to sand for the interior of this house, and then glue-ups to sand after all the face frames are constructed. Wanting to get this house finished before I die of old age, if no success tomorrow, I will vacuum the deep recesses of my wallet and buy a Powermatic 16/32 belt sander. Again, thanks so much for putting your mind to this. Jim
I had the exact same feelings as you, but i have used mine with this fix for few months now and have been able to finally control the tracking. I really hope this helps you out, its kind of a boat anchor if it can’t track.
@@friedgizzard Well, I tried. The darned thing just has a mind of its own. Delivery of the Powermatic 16/32 wide belt is set for the week of April 15. Thanks again for making your solution available.
In my country there's no woodpecker drill guide locator i cannot afford it because its made in usa. You can buy online but made in china this one is much better than mine because its made of aluminum but mine is made of plastic the only metal is the rods.
THANK YOU! IT WORKED, MINE WAS ONLY LOOSE.
Great video replaced the motor on my awning went pretty much how he explained it would. Only have one thing to add, if you have a 2nd ladder tall enough I clamped a 2x4 to the step closets to the hight of the awning to help hold the weight of the awning while I had the motor off. Seemed to make it a lot easier
Great tip! Thank you
Interesting stove
Be careful. I bought the evolution stand and it was missing a part. Customer service gaslighted me saying the piece was correct, even though the other same piece was correct with a spring and detent ball. No satisfaction from evolution.
I was there in 2015 it's a nice place, but you're wrong about it being next to the Arctic ocean. It's called the Chukchi Sea.
This island was known to have the last remaining population of wooly mammoths
I want that one
I have a similar but older sander.....same problem. I also have looked at many people on UA-cam and seen chewed up belts. Overall I think the engineering on these sanders it's poor. I will try to tape trick..thank you for posting.
I don’t know if this trick will help you, but for my machine, the outfeed roller is essentially a cone shape since one end is smaller. And i do know, if a wide belt rides on a cone, it will always track to the larger diameter side. I do hope it helps you.
I have been doing alot of traveling, i retire this year and hopefully next season i will be back at the mink, weasels, rats and anything else i can put a trap on.
Been watching for ya.Still trapping! Glad to see you back on here.
Thanks for your response!….. Just bought one identical to yours “like new” for $125
When adding more wood does smoke come out the lid?
How long does it burn?
How do you fix a crack in corian counter top
A big thank you! I couldn’t find a solution anywhere. I finally traced it back to the RPM sensor then saw your video. I had the exact same problem with my opener! That’s a really low tolerance between the rotation wheel and the sensor given the amount of vibration an opener has. I had to adjust the collar, and I even applied some black electrical tape to extend beyond the rotation wheel/counter about another 16th of an inch to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Lincolns were equipped at the factory with Hydramatic transmissions from 1949 through 1954. The fire occurred at the Hydramatic factory in August, 1953, which is why some Cadillacs were equipped with Buick Dynaflow transmissions.
Mine was a bad solder joint on the RPM sensor. Yes it got knocked around cuz of the play on the motor axle. Fixed that and the bad solder point. All good.
This is pretty much useless. Why didn’t you do the video when you did the actual repair.
I miss that place. Hiked all throughout dutch harbor on my days off when I use to work at Westward Seafoods back in 2017-2019
Mine won't idle when warm. I'll have to check this
Can the motor be repaired
I am sure it can be if you can find a place that does it but by the time a person pays for parts and 2 hours labor it makes more since to by a new one.
I hope it helped, you are welcome.
Thank you
Extended, the spring it wound. Retracted it isn't.
Same thing happen to me today 10 hours at it lol still not fix thanks
